Victor following in the footsteps of Charles Darwin.
On 3 October 2021, Victor Rault set sail for 4 years. At each stopover, he will meet with scientists who study the species Darwin observed 2 centuries ago. By making this historical comparison on his circumnavigation, he aims to answer the question: Can man and nature adapt in time to tackle the climate change we are experiencing?
My name is Victor. I have just turned 30 and I have been producing documentaries for 7 years. In 2014 and 2015, I spent 2 years in Greenland on the Under The Pole underwater scientific exploration boat. In 2017, I crossed the Northwest Passage, from Greenland to Alaska. In 2018 and 2019, I produced several underwater documentaries in French Polynesia to report on life in the coral reefs.
I brought back films from these adventures that have been seen worldwide on TV and the internet.
I really believe that these documentaries can change the public’s view of the world. My goal is to reveal Nature’s treasures, how fragile and at the same time strong it is, and to inspire the public to live more ecologically.Victor Rault - 2021
